Bernice Ayer Middle School Identified As High-Performing Middle School

Bernice Ayer Middle School, located in the Forster Ranch area of San Clemente, has recently been re-designated as a "School to Watch" by a California program that recognizes top-performing middle schools in the state. According to this article in the San Clemente Times, Bernice Ayer was one of seven school receiving re-designation this year (Bernice Ayer was first designated in 2005), and there are only 32 middle schools in the entire state of California with this designation. Besides the state designation, Bernice Ayer Middle School has also been designated as a national "School to Watch" and will receive national recognition in Washington, D.C. on June 24th (the state ceremony will take place in Sacramento on February 24th).
